Max Krohn

Hi, I'm Max, a software engineer living in New York City. In past lives, I was a co-founder of SparkNotes, OkCupid, and then Keybase.io. I worked at Zoom for a while after they bought Keybase.

Years ago, I got a PhD from MIT from the Computer Science and AI Lab, working in the PDOS group. Between graduate work, Keybase, and my current project, I've thought a lot about cryptography and how it applies to secure systems.

Funny you should ask, my current project is FOKS, the Federated Open Key Service. Also, I'm running a Hosting Service for FOKS to see where it goes.
